GIS Day 2003 will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003. Geography Awareness Week 2003 will be held November 16-22, 2003; the theme of this year's Geography Awareness Week is "Habitats."

If you have collected or want to donate any items; pens, pencils, buttons, t-shirts, etc, to Women in GIS - GIS Day activities there now is a central drop-off location. We will be assembling the packets on Wednesday Nov 5 at the Metro Region Office, so you can drop off (or mail) the stuff there by NOV 5th. Just address it: Attention Mark Bosworth.

    The address is:
    Metro Region
600 NE Grand Ave., Portland, OR 97232-2736

Any thing you can gather is a great treat for the kids and teachers. Just think how strapped the school system is lately and they definitely appreciate anything.
