Special Recognition...

We’d like to thank our local URISA chapter (Oregon and SW Washington) for its generous grant to help us supply materials to the classrooms; METRO for the use of RLIS data in the presentation materials and for plotting many of the photographs of the schools; AVERSTAR for the plotting and gift of 2 dozen large posters for the classrooms; Clackamas County for plotting many of the photographs for the schools; ESRI Olympia and Redlands for the ArcVoyager CDs, GIS Day pencils and other goodies that we used as part of our prizes; Mark Bosworth for GIS Day 1999 efforts (and continued support) that gave this year’s project a good start; Friends of Forest Park for the map that sparked some of the ideas in the presentation itself; the City of Hillsboro for the hard-cover CD sleeves; and last but definitely not least, the generous professionals who went to the schools and who designed the presentation itself.  These wonderful people came from local, state and federal government, universities and private companies.  Thank you!
