POSTER AND MAPS

2021 GIS in Action is co-hosted by the ASPRS Columbia River Region and the Oregon-Southwest Washington Chapter of URISA. Our goal is to bring together GIS and remote sensing professionals from the region to explore emerging technologies, address hot industry topics, and promote conversations that matter. The new virtual format will allow us to reach more GIS practitioners and students in the region while providing a schedule of events that offers increased flexibility and accessibility for participants.

Your presentation can be up to 20 minutes on a topic of your choosing. The theme of the 2021 conference is Resilience and Equity in GIS. With this theme in mind, the conference committee is seeking presentations that address the following topics:

  • Social Justice & Critical GIS

  • Emergency Response

  • Planet GIS

  • Working with LiDAR

  • Ethics in GIS

  • Emerging Professionals & Students

Your voice and geospatial insights are important to our local GIS community and I hope you can join us.

If you are interested in participating next spring, please complete this form by December 31, 2020.
